Lecture by Benoît de L'Estoile, research director at the CNRS and director of research and education at the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac
Each semester, the museum hosts one of the “Lecture Series in Social Anthropology”. This spring, we welcome anthropologist Benoît de L'Estoile, director of research and education at the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac since 2023. This museum opened in 2006 as a National Museum of Other Peoples mainly directed to collectors. In recent years, it has developed a number of collaborative research experiments, from Africa to Brazil to North America. What are the challenges and opportunities associated with this shift?
