The lecture by the newly appointed curator at the Weltkulturen Museum deals with the history of affect in ethnographic collecting under imperial circumstances. In his work, Carl Deußen seeks interdisciplinary approaches to coming to terms with the imperial past and developing decolonial and radically democratic futures.
