In the context of the exhibition «More Than Gold – Splendour and Thought of Indigenous Colombia»

With Curator Julia Burtenshaw (LACMA, Los Angeles)

Join LACMA curator Dr. Julia Burtenshaw on an exhibition tour filled with stories and reflections that she has gathered from her collaboration with the indigenous partners.

Dr. Julia Burtenshaw has thoroughly examined the pre-Columbian pieces from Columbia found in the LACMA's holdings. Her research took her more than ten times to Columbia, where she interacted with archaeology colleagues, museums, but mostly indigenous communities, above all the Arhuaco Community which along with the curatorial team laid the groundwork for the exhibition.

Welcome by Dr. Fernanda Ugalde, Curator for the Art of the Americas, Museum Rietberg.
