In the context of the exhibition "Look Closer"
As part of the exhibition "Look Closer", the three artists Titilayo Adebayo, Cherry-Ann Davis and Teddy Pratt critically investigate the archive of Hans Himmelheber. The program is part of Museum Rietberg's ongoing dialogue with contemporary artists on various socio-critical and decolonial topics. The aim is to open up additional perspectives that question and comment on the role of colonial archives, collections and knowledge production in our society.
On the occasion of Zurich Art Weekend, the participating artists will showcase the results of their artistic exploration of the Himmelheber archive.
