The Max Frisch Archive is an independent research institution belonging to the Max Frisch Foundation and based at ETH Library in Zurich. It curates and adds to the literary legacy of Swiss author and ETH Zurich alumnus Max Frisch (1911–1991).

In addition to unpublished correspondence, notebooks and manuscripts, the archive includes a freely accessible library with over 3,000 volumes. In changing exhibitions, valuable originals are presented in the reading room.

“When I see the sign in the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (the main building): MAX FRISCH ARCHIVE–how do I feel?

important?
exposed?
protected?
interred?
grateful?
historical?”

(Max Frisch: Drafts for a Third Sketchbook. Edited with an Afterword by Peter von Matt. Translated by Mike Mitchell, Calcutta: Seagull Books 2013, p. 109)
