Founded in 1985 and at home in Löwenbräukunst since 1996, Kunsthalle Zürich shows four to five solo or group exhibitions a year. Through temporary exhibitions, publications and a broad-based mediation programme Kunsthalle Zürich documents and generates discussion around national and international contemporary art. Enquiry and experimentation are at the heart of exhibition practice. Contemporary art is thus understood not as an isolated phenomenon but rather as a contextually specific cultural practice. Our aim is to foster curiosity and a delight in contemporary practices and to contribute to current discourse.
