Touch puts us in contact – with ourselves, others and the world. Although atoms never actually touch, for us humans, touch is always a meaningful experience, especially in dance. In Touch Through, the Zurich choreographer Lea Moro explores touch in the context of recent advances in technology and the media. How can we experience touch anew in a world that has become so digital, so distanced? Her trans-generational ensemble creates a sensuous space in which intimacy, boundaries and consensus are renegotiated. Touch Through enables us to feel the need to touch and be touched in a dancing, vocal and emotional way that takes us far beyond the purely tactile.
