The boundaries between simulation and reality are increasingly fading, also in football, the virtual gaming experience is also becoming more and more popular.
To shed more light on the global cultural phenomenon of digital football games in the past, present and future through their technology, competitions and surrounding lifestyle, the FIFA Museum features the exhibition area "The Virtual Pitch" as part of the permanent exhibition.
Various interactive stations invite visitors to discover and understand the world of e-football. In special gaming pods built in the style of the originals used at the FIFA eWorld Cup™, visitors can test their skills on the console and experience historical versions of this video game series in addition to the current FIFA game. Animations show how the game has evolved visually in terms of the appearance of the stars. At a selfie station, visitors can pose in a virtual world and are taken on a journey from their living room to the FIFA eWorld Cup™ stage thanks to virtual reality. And of course, the FIFA eWorld Cup™ trophy is also on display in the exhibition.
